"CERASUOLO"
WINE"
Using
a different wine making technique which involves a short fermentation
time together with the grape skins you get a particular cherry colored
wine called "cerasuolo." "Cerasuolo" has a pleasant delicate bouquet which
is strong but refined. It has a dry, harmonious taste with a slight almond
aftertaste which is appreciated even by the most sophisticated pallets.
It complements the tasty local cheeses perfectly.
"CONTROGUERRA" WINE
The
DOC "Controguerra" wine is the newest Abruzzo DOC wine, having been recognized
in 1996. Despite its only recently acquired recognition, it already boasts
a variety of excellent wines. The "Controguerra" red wine is made from
Montepulciano grapes (min. 60%) Merlot and/or Cabernet Sauvignon (min.
15%) and other red grape vines. It has a brilliant ruby red color and
a unique, dry, slightly tannic taste. It goes well with the most elaborate
regional dishes. The "Controguerra" white wine is made from "Trebbiano
Toscano", "Malvasia", and "Passerina" grapes alone or in combination (min.
60%) and from other white grapes recommended and/or authorized for the
province of Teramo. With its straw-colored yellow hue, fruity bouquet
and dry taste with a slightly bitter aftertaste it is a perfect choice
to complement fish dishes of the Adriatic coast. In addition to the above-mentioned
wines this vineyard also turns out a novello wine, a sparkling wine, a
spumante and raisin wine.
"MONTEPULCIANO
D'ABRUZZO" WINE
Il"Montepulciano
d'Abruzzo" is made almost exclusively with grapes from vines of the same
name, with the possible small addition of other grapes from recommended
and/or authorized red grape vines.
It has brilliant ruby red color and a dry, mellow, pungent, slightly tannic
taste.
It is a robust wine that ages well.
It complements even the most sophisticated cuisine.
"Montepuciano d'Abruzzo" bearing the "Colline Teramane" mark, is made
in the hilly land and the high plains in the province of Teramo using
at least 90% Montepulciano grapes and a maximum of 10% Sangiovese grapes.
It has a unique, strong heavenly bouquet and a taste that is dry, full,
and robust but at the same time harmonious and velvety.
"TREBBIANO
D'ABRUZZO" WINE
"The
"Trebbiano d'Abruzzo" is made from the perfect mix of grapes from vineyards
with "Trebbiano d'Abruzzo" and/or "Trebbiano Toscano" vines, with the
addition of other suggested and/or authorized white grape vines. It is
a straw-colored yellow, with a pleasant delicate bouquet. It has a harmonious
dry velvety taste and is best served cold. It is the perfect choice to
accompany Abruzzo's renowned fish dishes.
